Our Lesson Policies
Lesson Attendance and Cancellations
- Punctual consecutive weekly attendance is required. Students must book consistent weekly lessons throughout each month (unless on a biweekly commitment).
Skipped lessons are only allowed during holiday periods (see section below) otherwise they are considered cancelled lessons and will be billed as usual. - In case of a cancelled lesson, the lesson is non-refundable, and the travel fee will be refunded back on the next billing cycle by being applied against the bill for that period.
- Cancellation of a lesson must be made AT LEAST 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time to receive a make-up lesson (for definition of a make-up lesson, please see below).
- Any lesson cancelled due to sudden health reasons on the day of the lesson may receive a make-up lesson, but cannot be transferred to next month bill.
- No shows or failure to notify the school/teacher within 24 hours is considered a forfeited lesson.
- There are NO refunds on unused or cancelled lessons.
Make Up Lessons
- Lessons cancelled for health reason or lessons cancelled at least 24 hours ahead of the scheduled lesson will receive a make-up lesson at a time convenient to both the teacher and the student.
- Make-up lessons take place at an alternate time/day within the week, or can be split and added after/before the original lesson time, allowing the student to have an extended lesson, or the lesson can be online via Zoom or FaceTime.
Contact your teacher directly to book your make-up lesson within the business hours. - Periodically, teacher will notify you if there is a lesson cancellation on their end, in order to attempt to fill up the spot with your make-up lesson.
- Make-up lessons not used after 3 months will be considered forfeited.
- A make-up lesson can be booked with your teacher directly.
Teacher Cancellation
- If the teacher cancels the lesson, they will attempt to reschedule the lesson to another day, otherwise the lessons will be credited into the next months bill.
Payments
- Term lessons are paid in monthly instalments for all scheduled lessons in the month and are due at the first lesson of each month.
- If the lesson is cancelled for any reason, the payment is still due on the day of the first scheduled lesson.
- $20 late payment fee is applied to any outstanding bills which are 7 days overdue as well as NSF Cheques.
- Overdue accounts can resume lessons when a payment has been made.
- E-transfer payments are preferred but Cash and Cheque payments as well as Post-Dated Cheques are also accepted.
For payments made by e-transfer, send the payments to the e-mail address:
